5. Meta WhatsApp Business Integration

Smart CA Communicator is a Windows desktop application for Chartered Accountants. It integrates with the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) and runs on the customer's own computer — it is not cloud-hosted SaaS operated by Riveda Infosoft.

  • Smart CA Communicator is a Windows desktop application.
  • WhatsApp Business configuration data is stored locally on the customer's computer unless the customer chooses another storage location.
  • Riveda Infosoft does not permanently store WhatsApp message contents on its own servers.
  • Message history may be stored locally inside the customer's desktop application for customer reference.
  • Smart CA Communicator uses Meta WhatsApp Business Platform in accordance with Meta Platform Terms and applicable developer policies.

When customers connect their own WhatsApp Business account through Meta Embedded Signup, the following configuration data may be stored locally on the customer's desktop computer:

  • Business ID – Meta Business account identifier required to manage WhatsApp Business assets
  • WABA ID – WhatsApp Business Account identifier linked to the customer's business
  • Phone Number ID – Identifier for the customer's verified WhatsApp Business phone number
  • Access Token – API credential granted by the customer during Meta Embedded Signup, used to send messages on behalf of the customer's own account
  • Template Names – Names of Meta-approved message templates associated with the customer's WhatsApp Business account

Purpose of storing data: This data is stored locally solely to enable the desktop software to send and manage WhatsApp Business messages using the customer's own account and phone number. Riveda Infosoft does not use this data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the software's messaging functionality.

Encryption: API credentials and configuration data stored on the customer's desktop are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption methods.

No selling of customer data: Riveda Infosoft does not sell, rent, or trade customer data — including WhatsApp Business API configuration data — to third parties. We do not collect Facebook user profile data through our software.

Customers can revoke access and disconnect their WhatsApp Business account at any time through Meta Business Settings or within the desktop application.
